This week I had to travel into central London for a meeting, this is the continuing service for Parasharam Dasa in getting some formal qualifications in place for the Matchless Gifts centre in Camden.

So off I went to see Rachel Johnson of City Lit planning my journey and day. I decided against going to the Manor although I desired it so much simply because going to the Manor and doing no service just doesn’t feel right the Manor and service just goes hand in hand.

Thinking of the journey I looked at different ways of getting there, train, coach or car.
The train fair was near £180 I was shocked at how high it was.
The coach was much cheaper but the times were not very favourable
So I looked at the car, taking into account fuel, congestion charge and car parking the total bill was slightly under £50
Now I was trying to look at ways of reducing the carbon footprint of the journey but the financial benefit was more in favour of the car; but I drive a low co2 emission car (built in India I must add) so I sort of made a saving, May be.

I arrived earlier than planned and was feeling a little hungry but had already ate my supply of Prasadam so as Soho Street temple was close I took myself off their. It was nice to see so many smiling devotee faces, if only all eating establishments could be like this. But I hadn’t counted on London prices and the meal cost more than the congestion charge, Guess which one I didn’t mind paying.

Answers in an e-mail the winner gets well, a nice e-mail of thanks back; Yes I’m that mean.

The walk took me along the main Saturday Night Harinama route and it brought back a lot of memories so I have resolved that I must take a day off and go down just for this.

I was thinking how many nice the things we as devotees miss and reminded me of the fun things we get up to, alcohol free, stress free and fun!
