Over the past few weeks I my desire to sing the Nrsimhadeva prays has increased, not only had they become longer but also a lot louder (luckily my neighbours are very tolerant and have not complained).
Now as many people know I spend more time in my car than anywhere else and so the annual MOT was due, not surprisingly it failed the mystery is that one of the main components holding the front wheel on was so badly damaged that their should have been a loss of the wheel and as a majority of my driving is motorway or windy country roads their would have been serious injury or fatality.
The nice thing was that the garage had my car for three days, I had an unexpected holiday and some much needed rest. But best of all what did he listen to whilst fixing my car?
The MP3 I had of Srial Prabhupada’s lectures, classes and press releases he was so impressed and asked to meet such a wonderful intelligent man. So I am sending him some books (after all the garage I used is some 200 miles from my home) and as usual I did nothing.
But I was also reminded of this that the main reason for singing the Nrsimhadeva prays is also due to out conditioning and the hindrances that stop us making progress in our devotional life this is summed up in this small quote:
Therefore we should pray to Lord Nrsimhadeva to sit in our hearts. We should pray, bahir nrsimho hrdaye nrsimhah: “Let Lord Nrsimhadeva sit in the core of my heart, killing all my bad propensities. Let my mind become clean so that I may peacefully worship the Lord and bring peace to the entire world.”

May Lord Nrsimhadeva continue to protect me and clean my heart from all the hindrances in devotional life
