It was with some shock last year that I heard the RSPCA had killed one of the cows at the Manor.
She was making a slow recovery from an injury sustained and was well cared for by the staff their; the care was much better than that found in some care homes.
Their was no desease and no risk to others; their was plenty of veternary care a point that the RSPCA still to this day does not acknowledge.
But they did not understand the sense of feeling for the killing of an innocent animal. I first read the press release from the Dominion Post in New Zealand but you can read the BBC report here:
although we could see how under handed they killed the cow, and all legal avenues had not been taken this was a pre-emptive strike. From an organisation that kills more animals than they save; and who advertise in our supermarkets that the animals killed for eating meets their standards and killed as they think best.
They cannot then express links to animal welfare in line with vadic principles and continue to show ignorance.
