I feel that this picture from Al Jazeera news agency is a reminder of this time of celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ that throughout the world many people are finding themselves in the midst of conflict and war, economical hardships and social exclusion.

It also reminded me of the world war 1 incident were just for the day of Christmas both sides laid down their weapons of war, sung carols and played football, even sharing the humble rations they had.

Poignant is the fact that it is down to miss identification of the body, race, colour, religion and creed along with envy that causes such conflict.

I am reminded of an old saying that is very rarely spoken today
