I was interested in the many suggestions on what to do about the offensive behaviour shown towards the deities by a new client,

The reminder that as Krishna is transandental to material reality thus excluding him from the scripture was inspirational plus the analytical dictionary use of the difference between idol and deity. But I feel due to a very polarised view sadly neither of these would be acceptable but did give me many points to ponder.

The suggestion on deities to have was also useful but as I am so attached to Sri Sri Gaura-Nital I could not listen to any one make such comments as has been made over the past few weeks. His greatest venom if I could call it that is towards Nrsimhadeva his assumption is that he does not and never has existed and couldn’t protect any one, I did try to explain but his mind is closed,

Sri Prabhupada commented thus: it may be argued that since Krsna was present on this earth and was visible to everyone, then why isn’t He manifest to everyone now? But actually He was not manifest to everyone. When Krsna was present there were only a few people who could understand Him to be the Supreme Personality of Godhead. In the assembly of Kurus, when Sisupala spoke against Krsna’s being elected president of the assembly, Bhisma supported Him and proclaimed Him to be the Supreme God. Similarly, the Pandavas and a few others knew that He was the Supreme, but not everyone. He was not revealed to the nondevotees and the common man. Therefore in the Bhagavad-gita Krsna says that but for His pure devotees, all men consider Him to be like themselves. He was manifest only to His devotees as the reservoir of all pleasure. But to others, to unintelligent nondevotees, He was covered by His internal potency.

My thoughts turned to this it was not so long ago that I too had difficulty with deity worship seeing it as unscriptural and a form of idol worship. By Krishna’s mercy he revealed his true identity why now and what have I done to de able to enter into devotee association I could not say. For some reason though this young individual remains covered, who can explain. This is Krishna’s unfathomable mercy one day though may be not in this life time this soul will to be able to see the wonder of Krishna.

So I am left with two options cover the deities or ask for the client to be reassigned to one of my colleges I will see how this week goes with the deities covered. But as always keep them thoughts coming they as always prove most useful and inspirational
